Dr. Robert Barr
Dr. Robert Barr, a 1975 graduate from Colorado State University started Mesa Veterinary Clinic in 1978. He is currently retired but his values and his impact on the clinic is everlasting. He is enjoying ranching and spending time with family.

Dr. Rachel D'AndreaDr. Rachel joined our team in 2022 after graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University. Originally from Connecticut, she earned her undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Rachel has always loved working with animals and gained early experience volunteering with her local Humane Society and assisting with mixed-animal mobile clinics. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and snowboarding around Colorado with her husband. She also spends plenty of time with her two dogs, Willa, an Australian Shepherd, and Kate, a Border Collie.

Dr. LilyDr. Lily pursued her undergraduate studies at Juniata College in Pennsylvania and PIMA Community College in Arizona, subsequently graduating from St. George's University in Granada with her DVM degree in 2025. She grew up in Zambia, Africa with a father dedicated to wildlife conservation and a mother who is a teacher and lover of all creatures. Dr. Lily initiated her volunteer work at an African veterinary clinic around the age of 9. Her working and research experience has spanned multiple clinics across Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Guatemala, Africa, and Australia.

PattyPatty is our Practice Manager. She worked with Mesa for 15 years, then moved to New Mexico. We were thrilled to welcome her back in 2022! Outside of work, Patty enjoys crafting, reading, and cooking. She’s also a big fan of penguins and is known for her love of coordination—everything she owns has to match! Patty shares her home with 2 beloved dogs, Lucian and Floki

Kari, RVTKari has been part of the Mesa team since 2011, serving as our Inventory Manager and s skilled Registered Veterinary Technician. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree from Augustana College and completed the RVT program through Bel-Rea. Outside of work, Kari stays busy with her 4 horses, 3 dogs, 4 fish and 1 cat. She enjoys showing horses and is an avid hockey fan.

Stephanie, CCSStephanie joined the Mesa team in 2015, bringing with her years of valuable experience in veterinary client care. As one of our Lead Client Care Specialists, she plays a key role in supporting both our clients and team. At home, Steph shares her life with 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a few birds. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending her time with family, scrapbooking, reading and more.

Shaniqua, CCSShaniqua originally joined the Mesa team in 2006 and returned in 2014 after several years away. She now serves as one of our Lead Client Care Specialists and oversees all prescription pet food needs. Shaq is a graduate of Pima Medical Institute, where she earned her Veterinary Assistant certificate. At home, she shares her life with 4 dogs, 2 cats, a jumping spider, and a flock of chickens. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature with her family.

Rebecca, RVTRebecca is one of our Triage Lead Registered Veterinary Technician and has been a dedicated member of our team since 2016, after graduating from the Veterinary Assistant program at Colorado Veterinary Technology. At home, she cares for far too many pets to count and loves every minute of it. Outside of the clinic, Rebecca enjoys riding horses and spending time with her baby boy.

Brenna, RVTBrenna is our Large Animal Registered Veterinary Technician and has been a valued member of our team since 2017, after graduating from the Veterinary Assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, skilled care to our large animal patients. At home, Brenna stays busy with her three dogs—Sassy, Belle, and Sprig. Outside of work, she enjoys baking cakes and spending time with her pups.

Rachel, RVTRachel is our Small Animal Care Lead Registered Veterinary Technician and joined our team in 2021 after graduating from the Veterinary Assistant program at NAVTA. She is passionate about delivering attentive, compassionate care to our small animal patients and supporting their families. At home, Rachel has one Persian cat and three Exotic Shorthair cats who keep her busy. Outside of work, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, fly fishing, and traveling.

Paige, RVTPaige is our Lab Area Lead Registered Veterinary Technician and joined our team in 2017 after completing the Veterinary Assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute. She plays an important role in overseeing our lab operations and ensuring accurate, timely diagnostics for our patients. At home, Paige has two dogs, Maximus and Ruby. Outside of work, she enjoys paddle boarding and spending time with her friends and family.

Adrianne, RVTAdrianne is our Surgery and Dental Lead Registered Veterinary Technician and has been a dedicated member of our team since 2017. She studied Biochemistry at the University of Northern Iowa and CSU–Pueblo. At home, Adrianne has one dog, Maple; two cats, Kovu and Ziggy; two rats, Icarus and Linus; and eight fish. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, attending concerts, snowboarding, sewing, fishing, and traveling.

Lisa, CCSLisa is one of our Client Care Specialists and joined our team in 2021, bringing with her nearly 20 years of experience from a previous clinic. She is a graduate of the Veterinary Assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute. At home, Lisa has five indoor cats—Kitty, Ranger, Journey, Ragnar, and T-Rex—while also managing a large cat colony. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, growing in her faith, reading, fishing, and being in nature.

Kari, CCSKari is one of our Client Care Specialists who first joined our team in 1990 and returned in 2010 after several years away. As a Registered Veterinary Technician with decades of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to supporting our clients and their pets. At home, Kari cares for four dogs, four cats, two horses, and a pig. When she’s not busy tending to her animals, she enjoys relaxing with a good book.

Sandy, CCSSandy is our Pharmacy Technician and has been a valued member of our team since 2000. She is a graduate of National College’s Medical Assistant and Veterinary Assistant programs and brings decades of knowledge and experience to her role. At home, Sandy cares for five cats, four dogs, and one African Gray Parrot. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her parents, and she and her mom especially love working on puzzles together.

Nicki, RVTNicki is one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians and has been part of our team since 2002, after earning her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from Bel-Rea. She is passionate about providing compassionate care to all of our patients. At home, Nicki cares for nine chickens, a Boston Terrier, and a Boston Terrier/Pug mix. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, camping, and reading.

Savanah, RVTSavanah is one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians and a 2017 graduate of the Veterinary Assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute. She completed her externship with us and was quickly offered a position, proving to be a perfect fit for our team. At home, she cares for three cats and one dog. Known for her great personality and sense of humor, Savanah always keeps us laughing and brightens the clinic every day.

Lindsey, VALindsey is one of our Veterinary Assistants who joined our team in 2025. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Texas Tech University and plans to attend veterinary school. At home, she cares for far too many pets to count. Outside of work, Lindsey also enjoys antiquing.

Crystal, VACrystal is one of our Veterinary Assistants who first joined our team in 2016 and returned in 2024 after several years away. At home, she cares for two dogs and two cats. Outside of work, Crystal enjoys spending time with her family or relaxing while watching crime shows.

Donovan, VADonovan is one of our Veterinary Assistants and serves as our Safety Manager. He joined our team in 2022 after completing the Veterinary Assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute. At home, he cares for three dogs—Chula, Penny, and Bruno. Outside of work, Donovan enjoys playing video games, traveling, and relaxing at home.

Maddie, VAMaddie is one of our Veterinary Assistants who began as a volunteer in September 2021 and officially joined the team in February 2022. She is currently a pre-vet student at CSU–Pueblo. At home, Maddie adores her Chocolate Lab, Charlie, and Black Lab, Ozzie. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with the Colorado State Fair Rodeo Committee and serving as President of the CSU–Pueblo Pre-Vet Club.

Rachael, VARachael is one of our Veterinary Assistants who joined our team in 2022. At home, she cares for two dogs, Wacey and Denver; four goats, Helicopter, Brownie, Oreo, and Gus Gus; and three horses, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, and MooMoo. Outside of work, Rachael enjoys spending time with her daughter, and her extracurricular activities, participating in saddle club and sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Kaylan, VAKaylan is one of our Veterinary Assistants who joined our team in 2021 and is currently pursuing the online Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster. At home, she cares for three dogs—Bella, Elsa, and Lena—a cat named Daisy, and four horses. Outside of work, Kaylan enjoys horseback riding, spending time in the mountains, and gardening.

Anabel, VAAnabel is one of our Veterinary Assistants who joined our team in 2024. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Science, Arts & Music, and General Studies. At home, she cares for three dogs—Merry, Pippin, and Gimli. Outside of work, Anabel enjoys music and concerts, spending time with friends, and going to the movies.

Quinn, VAQuinn is one of our Veterinary Assistants who joined our team in 2024 after completing the Veterinary Assistant program at PIMA Medical Institute. He enjoys engaging with clients, and thrives in the fast-paced environment. Quinn is the proud owner of four cats—Cassie, Pippin, Simon, and Smeagle. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, relaxing with his cats, and playing video games.

Riley, VARiley is one of our Veterinary Assistants who joined our team in 2024 after completing the Veterinary Assistant program at PIMA, with plans to return and complete the Veterinary Technician program. She brings compassion and experience from her time working in Animal Control. At home, Riley cares for a dog named Pepper and three cats—Gravy, Lemon, and Freya. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, taxidermy, and playing The Sims.

Catie, VACatie is a Veterinary Assistant who joined our team in 2023. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from CSU–Fort Collins and is currently attending veterinary school, with plans to graduate in 2028. At home, she cares for her dog, Silvio. Catie enjoys long-distance backpacking, having hiked 500 miles across northern Spain, and she plans to hike the Appalachian Trail.
